Cristian Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Gerazan, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gabriel Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balboa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Gerazan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Jerrald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25thth minute of the game Gabriel Gerazan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rastrojos's Cristian Jerrald was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelio Panfilo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Rastrojos's Cristian Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Pepillo in the 29th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Rastrojos got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Panfilo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Victor Abel's late challenge caught a Balboa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Maria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eliseo Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Lico in the 78th minute of play. The Rastrojos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Balboa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
