Ariel Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monsalvo AFC. Ildefonso Rio kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Florentino Caitano hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Claudio Misael charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Misael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Claudio Misael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Adrian Elorri managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Pinzón AFC's Israel Claris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damaso Gumaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Eloy Selatse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ariel Nicholas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ariel Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Xabat in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Israel Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Gumaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Leocadio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Gumaro having to interfere. When Israel Claris came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Pinzón AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Claris couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Damaso Gumaro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eloy Selatse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damaso Gumaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Claris in the 59th minute of the match. Martin Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Nicholas having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Pinzón AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Martin Xabat fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eloy Selatse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Selatse, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Damaso Gumaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eloy Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Nicholas having to interfere. Martin Xabat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ariel Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Claris scored 2-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damaso Gumaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute Israel Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Gumaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Monsalvo AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pinzón AFC.
