After 4 minutes of play, Tortugas AFC's Adriana Laffitte made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Bautista was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Orlanda during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tortugas AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Zeledon Orlanda hit a great ball. Adriana Laffitte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Palmitas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Gudesteo. 16 minutes into the game, Tortugas AFC's Teofilo Pudes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Bautista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basilio Fe got free with Saul Loco in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Raulo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Saul Loco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fabricio Jax kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Basilio Fe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play, Palmitas AFC's Basilio Fe made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saul Loco was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Abelardo Cidro fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tortugas AFC's protests and gave Abelardo Cidro a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Tortugas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Cidro. After recieving a nice pass, Palmitas AFC's Julian Raulo tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Palmitas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Txurio to maneuver through the defense. Teofilo Pudes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edgard Bautista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Palmitas AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tortugas AFC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albano Musko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Cidro lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When Albano Musko came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Palmitas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Musko couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Tortugas AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Celedonio Piarres hit a great ball. Saul Loco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Fe in the 68th minute of play. Basilio Fe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Loco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Basilio Fe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albano Musko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Loco having to interfere. If Albano Musko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Adriana Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortugas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriana Laffitte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Bautista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aaron Erauso kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Julian Raulo's late challenge caught a Tortugas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Raulo helped the player get up and apologised. Julian Raulo got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 92nd minute, Celedonio Piarres sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Palmitas AFC's Edgard Bautista didn't even have to move. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
