The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Fernanco in the 4th minute of play forced Quiñihuao's goalkeeper Agustin Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Arenal FC booed when Quiñihuao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Quico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quiñihuao's Agustin Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Fernanco in the 7th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Aaron Fernanco rounded Quiñihuao's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Angelino Dalmau scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Llope, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Higinio Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute of the match, Aaron Fernanco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustin Esdras saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Quiñihuao's Angelino Dalmau got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agustin Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Dalmau in the 42nd minute of play forced Arenal FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Aaron Fernanco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Fernanco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustin Esdras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Quico hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Aaron Fernanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Fernanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Aaron Fernanco made the kick off in the second half. Ignacio Cordaryal's late challenge caught a Quiñihuao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ignacio Cordaryal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Ignacio Cordaryal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quiñihuao's Anselmo Lluis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Guaberto Llope but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Quiñihuao's Anselmo Lluis got a free kick in the 61st minute. Agustin Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Gabirel in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Quiñihuao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Frichoso to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Fernanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustin Esdras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Fernanco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute, Bartolo Milian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelino Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Llope having to interfere. The Arenal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Quiñihuao were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
