In the 45th match minute, Tacuarendí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Euloxu to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jorge Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacuarendí's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Abecia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Ibon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmelo Demesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Lluques in the 63rd minute of the match. Carolo Tximitx's late challenge caught a Barra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carolo Tximitx helped the player get up and apologised. Omar Ibon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1.
