But to his dismay, Ismael Damario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 18th minute Ismael Damario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Chumo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Gustavo Bingen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Braulio Eliazar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Damario couldn't finish the play. 2-3 became the score in the 38th minute when Horacio Lluciano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Damario in the 43rd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Timoteo Chumo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Millano in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timoteo Chumo saved Palermo from getting behind. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Damario to strike the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Jacobo Savion got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Timoteo Chumo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 75th minute, Horacio Lluciano made a precise shot to the right of Timoteo Chumo. Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Braulio Eliazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Bingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
