The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Amalia FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Sotil. After recieving a nice pass, Avellaneda's Elvio Sandaili tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's Maximiliano Ordono sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Weterio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Isidoro Unax made a precise shot to the right of Baldomiro Weterio. Amalia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Felix Orkatz struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Clemente Kiliz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amalia FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Eriz in the 16th minute of play forced Avellaneda's goalkeeper Clemente Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes, Ambrosio Montrelle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avellaneda and the Amalia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Avellaneda's Ambrosio Montrelle got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Sotil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amalia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avellaneda the free kick. A collision led to Amalia FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ezequiel Sotil hit a great ball. When Felix Orkatz came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Amalia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Orkatz couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Felix Orkatz from a close distance when the talented Clemente Kiliz managed to make a qualified save. Avellaneda's players were relieved. Amalia FC's Baldomiro Weterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Steven in the 34th minute of play. Isidoro Unax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Baldomiro Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avellaneda's goalkeeper Clemente Kiliz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hermengildo Vito charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermengildo Vito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Avellaneda:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Amalia FC:s goal. With a little luck, Avellaneda's Clemente Kiliz got control of the ball when Felix Orkatz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isidoro Unax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Baldomiro Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximiliano Ordono was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Steven during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Steven. Ladislao Eriz's late challenge caught a Avellaneda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Eriz helped the player get up and apologised. Ladislao Eriz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Isidoro Unax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Amalia FC's Ezequiel Sotil got a free kick in the 59th minute. Baldomiro Weterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Ordono, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Enrique Steven was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. Felix Orkatz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Amalia FC's Baldomiro Weterio got control of the ball when Isidoro Unax tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Godofredo Lia fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amalia FC's protests and gave Godofredo Lia a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Amalia FC! Amalia FC:s Baldomiro Weterio showed great skill when he stopped Elvio Sandaili:s penalty. 80 minutes into the game, Avellaneda's Elvio Sandaili nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomiro Weterio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Clemente Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Orkatz in the 85th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Amalia FC's Adan Fortun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemente Kiliz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clemente Kiliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Orkatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Avellaneda getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Maximiliano Ordono hit a great ball. Felix Orkatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Kiliz having to interfere.
