Braulio Luix's late challenge caught a Ayacucho AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Luix helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Breas getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Braulio Luix hit a great ball. Silvestre Guib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Maximino Guipuzkoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Chumo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Clemente Chumo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Martino having to interfere. In the 14th minute Godofredo Felipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Martino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match, Silvestre Guib tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maximino Guipuzkoa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Albano Millano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Millano might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Guipuzkoa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Millano ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Martino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Chumo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho AFC's Eliseo Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Millano got free with Maximino Guipuzkoa in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Silvestre Guib managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayacucho AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Guib was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Guipuzkoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvestre Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
After 53 minutes of play, Ayacucho AFC's Silvestre Guib made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximino Guipuzkoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Breas's Carmelo Beila got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Albano Millano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Guipuzkoa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Clemente Chumo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Godofredo Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Silvestre Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Ayacucho AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Felipo came free, but Gustavo Martino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ayacucho AFC's Silvestre Guib got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Godofredo Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Godofredo Felipo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Clemente Chumo made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Martino. Ayacucho AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 97th minute Albano Millano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Guipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
