The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Ranhuil AFC booed when Lagunillas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregorio Weterio hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes Lagunillas FC got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Cai. Ranhuil AFC's Alvaro Ferran shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Raimundo Katia but with some difficulty. After having played for 9 minutes, Luis Millano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunillas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Millano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lagunillas FC's Luis Millano got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosme Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Benedicto Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Lagunillas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Corderall came free, but Raimundo Katia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Ranhuil AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Paublo to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Toro in the 34th minute of the match. If Gregorio Weterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Corderall in the 43rd minute of the match. Benedicto Corderall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Millano made a kick off. Raimundo Katia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remigio Baumar went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Raimundo Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Weterio in the 57th minute of the match. Gregorio Weterio struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Raimundo Katia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranhuil AFC. Luis Millano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Barea having to interfere. Luis Millano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cosme Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Baumar charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigio Baumar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remigio Baumar kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Cosme Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Millano, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Luis Millano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lagunillas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Millano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Barea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lagunillas FC's Raimundo Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Weterio in the 85th minute of play. Lagunillas FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
