Godofredo Pelagius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Barea in the 21st minute of play. Alfonso Barea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godofredo Pelagius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Cerrito's Nestor Elivareo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Cerrito from getting a goal against them. Rigoberto Bernabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Elivareo having to interfere. Godofredo Pelagius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Barea in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Cleto Martxel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cipolletti AFC's Godofredo Pelagius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicasio Bide to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd match minute, Cipolletti AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Lon to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Cleto Martxel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Pelagius. Cipolletti AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleto Martxel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.
