In the 20th match minute, Cololo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Lluques to maneuver through the defense. If Octavio Garci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Octavio Garci recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Severiano Guib. Octavio Garci showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Benedicto Matro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. The Rufino AFC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Rufino AFC's Benedicto Matro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rufino AFC's Benedicto Matro got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severiano Guib was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Octavio Garci capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Octavio Garci really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The referee ignored Cololo FC's protests and gave Marcos Heriberto a yellow card for diving instead. 47 minutes into the game, one of Cololo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rufino AFC a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felix Demesio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cololo FC's Severiano Guib. 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 62 played minutes Cololo FC got a freekick which was hit by Adan Lluques. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Matro in the 65th minute of play forced Cololo FC's goalkeeper Severiano Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rufino AFC's Pablo Gaizko got control of the ball when Fabricio Ekain tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Rufino AFC booed when Cololo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Costante didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Rufino AFC's protests and gave Maximiliano Abalos a yellow card for diving instead. When Damian Salvino came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cololo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Salvino couldn't finish the play. Rufino AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
