Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Caracara's Saturnino Fiz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Saturnino Fiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Arnalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Panquehá's goalkeeper Luciano Arnalt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Opilano. Laureano Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Natalio Nayely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Caracara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Oriche to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Nayely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Veremundo in the 14th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Saturnino Fiz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luciano Arnalt. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Jeremias Urki hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes, Saverio Txaran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panquehá and the Caracara players grew even worse after the yellow card. 29 minutes into the match, Laureano Veremundo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natalio Nayely. Caracara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laureano Veremundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Laureano Veremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Nayely having to interfere. Panquehá's Saverio Txaran got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Saverio Txaran off the ground. After a rather tough play, Panquehá's Saverio Txaran got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Benito Opilano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luciano Arnalt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panquehá's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anastasio Hitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Caracara's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Panquehá's goalie and right to Carolo Mateo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Panquehá's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 45 minutes, David Pello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panquehá and the Caracara players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was beautiful to see Caracara's Aquiles Cefero in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Veremundo to make the kick off. If Saturnino Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Opilano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Saturnino Fiz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Panquehá's Luciano Arnalt. Luciano Arnalt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luciano Arnalt came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Caracara's Benito Opilano. But to his dismay, Benito Opilano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Luciano Arnalt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Oriche, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Benito Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Arnalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Arnalt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Fiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Laureano Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Fiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Panquehá's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Fiz came free, but Luciano Arnalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Caracara getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aquiles Cefero hit a great ball. If Saturnino Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caracara fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panquehá had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
