Jose Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Espiridion having to interfere. Raimundo Malvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Urbano Espiridion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Malvin in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urbano Espiridion prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jose Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Malvin to strike the kick off in the second half. Saladillo AFC's Ruben Ipar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Bikendi in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Honorio Socorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jose Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Malvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Urbano Espiridion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saladillo AFC's Jose Natal got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute Alfredo Leoncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Leoncio in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Ipar saved Saladillo AFC from getting behind. Alfredo Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ruben Ipar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Malvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ruben Ipar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Mingo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Ruben Ipar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Bikendi in the 91st minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Maipú got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Rios. Despite being the better team, Saladillo AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
