Mauricio Tauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Garoa in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santillán's Anselmo Elorri got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Garoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Tauro. Santillán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo Garoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mauricio Tauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Estebano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Santillán's Aureliano Erroman got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Santillán's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Estebano came free, but Mauricio Tauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Balesio in the 20th minute of play forced Chascomús's goalkeeper Nunez Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Santillán's Primitivo Balesio in the 23rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Nunez Ekaitz was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Chascomús through an amazing save. Mauricio Tauro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Garoa's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chascomús's zone, Alonzo Dominguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Ekaitz came out of the goal and Alonzo Dominguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santillán's Aureliano Erroman got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Primitivo Balesio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nunez Ekaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 40th minute, but Nunez Ekaitz got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Chascomús hanging dry this time. After 46 played minutes Santillán got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Admon. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Teodosio Estebano made the kick off in the second half. Primitivo Balesio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nunez Ekaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Santillán's Aureliano Erroman got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Silvano Luzaide fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chascomús's protests and gave Silvano Luzaide a yellow card for diving instead. Silvano Luzaide hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Santillán's goalkeeper Mauricio Tauro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Garoa. 71 minutes in the game, Teodosio Estebano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mauricio Tauro having to interfere. Teodosio Estebano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Mauricio Tauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nunez Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Santillán supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chascomús's performance. The match ended with a win for Chascomús.
