The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niceto Ritchie during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Huerta AFC booed when Cerrillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Platon in the 8th minute of play forced Huerta AFC's goalkeeper Mariano Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Huerta AFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Eloy Ekain hit a great ball. Mauricio Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustaquio Gutierrez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Mariano Omero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cerrillos's zone, Melquiades Kimetz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Gutierrez came out of the goal and Melquiades Kimetz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Kimetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Gutierrez having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Lorenzo Hitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cerrillos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lorenzo Hitz hit a great ball. Leopoldo Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th match minute, Cerrillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Huerta AFC's Melquiades Kimetz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustaquio Gutierrez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Melquiades Kimetz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mauricio Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Eustaquio Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Gomez was the one to do the kick off. When Fabricio Florinio fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerrillos's protests and gave Fabricio Florinio a yellow card for diving instead. Fabricio Florinio hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Mauricio Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eustaquio Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Huerta AFC reached it. Isidro Lehen hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Lorenzo Hitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Cerrillos players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Huerta AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
