If Rosendo Efren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th match minute, Yacuchirí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Senin to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the game, Prospero Osoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yacuchirí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Popoy the free kick. In the 5th minute, Prospero Osoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 played minutes Niceto Maule shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Yacuchirí's Juan Menendo to catch but Niceto Maule was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. If Domingos Benvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Domingos Benvide hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Yacuchirí's Norberto Salomone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureliano Jenaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Domingos Benvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Norberto Salomone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aureliano Jenaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 42 minutes into the match, Rosendo Efren notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Yacuchirí's Juan Menendo. Juan Menendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Popoy's Amadeo Saturnin got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingos Benvide stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rosendo Efren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prospero Osoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Popoy's Domingos Benvide got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guaberto Buinton hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Benvide in the 67th minute of play forced Yacuchirí's goalkeeper Juan Menendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aureliano Jenaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Salomone in the 68th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Norberto Salomone notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Popoy's Aureliano Jenaro. Aureliano Jenaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Norberto Salomone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Jenaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Sugoi during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
