With 7 minutes on the clock, Bernardo Estebe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Espinillo's Maximino Restu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Angel Richie. Guaberto Bide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Angel Richie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvestre Gonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Richie having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gorostiaga FC's Vinicio Kaiet got a free kick in the 21st minute. Espinillo's Silvestre Gonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filomeno Ioritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Guaberto Bide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Espinillo's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Urtungo came free, but Armando Petri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Guaberto Bide fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espinillo's protests and gave Guaberto Bide a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gorostiaga FC booed when Espinillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Bide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Urtungo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Armando Petri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angel Richie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Ioritz in the 39th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filomeno Ioritz was the one to do the kick off. Filomeno Ioritz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Gorostiaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Kaiet. Silvestre Gonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Espinillo's Silvestre Gonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Espinillo's goalkeeper Armando Petri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Urtungo. Gorostiaga FC's Angel Richie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Gonzo in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Espinillo had won after a very even match.
