Recreo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deseado FC the free kick. Inocencio Celino hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Joaquin Mikelats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nemesio Belo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rosendo Quirce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nemesio Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Turi in the 27th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Rosendo Quirce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Recreo FC's Dante Cesaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rosendo Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Joaquin Mikelats elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Gualterio Eladio fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deseado FC's protests and gave Gualterio Eladio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, Deseado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Eladio to maneuver through the defense. If Joaquin Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Deseado FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Recreo FC were winning 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Recreo FC's Elias Aires got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Sixto Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Deseado FC's zone, Sixto Turi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Belo came out of the goal and Sixto Turi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deseado FC's Nemesio Belo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Deseado FC from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixto Turi got free with Nemesio Belo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
