Bustamante FC's Samuel Matei got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 7 minutes, Jacobo Udalaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Characate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Udalaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Samuel Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Bustamante FC got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Cerilo. In the 21st minute of the match Prospero Niguel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godofredo Francis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 25 in the game by Jacobo Udalaitz from a close distance when the talented Eduardo Sidoro managed to make a qualified save. Bustamante FC's players were relieved. When Adriana Demario came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Characate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriana Demario couldn't finish the play. Amancio Beremundo's late challenge caught a Characate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Beremundo helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Bustamante FC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Beremundo. In the 31stth minute of the game Samuel Matei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Characate's Godofredo Francis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Characate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bustamante FC the free kick. A collision led to Characate getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eduardo Sidoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriana Demario, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Victoriano Baraquiel charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jacobo Udalaitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Sidoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play.
