In the 31st match minute, Goyeneche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Erauso to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Virgilio Ubelteso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Goyeneche's Clemente Aznar didn't even have to move. 37 minutes into the match, Goyeneche's goalkeeper Clemente Aznar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Llorian. Clemente Aznar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morea. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fernando Playo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Piearres having to interfere. Ramon Matia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Piearres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 94 played minutes Fernando Playo rounded Morea's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
