The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Austin got free with Rogelio Hunfredo in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 11 minutes of play, Estrugamou's Cipriano Austin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee showed Adriana Honrio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Estrugamou's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Iban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Hunfredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Froilan Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inocencio Txatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Enaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Estrugamou's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Enaut came free, but Inocencio Txatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Iban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Froilan Lamberto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. During the 87th minute of the match Joel Perico completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Joel Perico a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Joel Perico kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Gregorio Iban put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rogelio Hunfredo. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Estrugamou fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tapias AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
