Damaso Rito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Orlondon having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Sebastian Mancio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hughes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pascual Colon in the 14th minute. Guido Rocendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Rodas having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match Lucio Fresco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Rodas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Guido Rocendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hughes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Rocendo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Hughes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marini:s goal. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Marini's Sebastian Mancio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Niceto Orlondon. Niceto Orlondon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Miliano in the 37th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hughes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Guido Rocendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hughes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Rocendo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Marcelino Miliano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marini's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Miliano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Orlondon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Endura hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Nicolas Baldovino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Casimiro Rodas, passed just outside the right post. If Damaso Rito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Baldovino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Todor's late challenge caught a Hughes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Todor helped the player get up and apologised. Celso Todor hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Pascual Colon, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 87th minute, Marcelino Miliano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Celso Todor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marini's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Todor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Orlondon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
