After a rather tough play, Carmen's Anastasio Jax got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute, Mauricio Fresco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carmen's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Precioso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Cordairo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stayle's Cayetano Cresenciano got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute.
