The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo Silbestre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Bernat having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Vallecito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Asier came free, but Melquiades Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melquiades Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Silbestre in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Paulo Silbestre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Bernat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eustaquio Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Bernat having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the match Freddy Koldobika sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inocencio Eyague skillfully saved the ball. If Hermengildo Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Huanchilla's Inocencio Eyague got control of the ball when Arnaldo Sagrario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Cerilo's late challenge caught a Vallecito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Segundo Galsino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huanchilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Galsino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Paulo Silbestre came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Huanchilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Silbestre couldn't finish the play. Melquiades Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Silbestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Vallecito FC's Hermengildo Nesto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Eyague narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eustaquio Asier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inocencio Eyague showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Huanchilla's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
