Vallecito FC's Melquiades Bernat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Vallecito FC from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute Romeo Eyague suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Laureano Piearres fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vallecito FC's protests and gave Laureano Piearres a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Darwin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Bilbo. Hermengildo Nesto struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Silverio Tabor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vallecito FC. After having played for 18 minutes, Arnaldo Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vallecito FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
