The goalkeeper, Nereo Eduino, was totally fooled by Patricios AFC's Ruben Efren, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Luis Jorrin came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Caballito AFC's Cristo Benet. But to his dismay, Cristo Benet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some careless play in the Caballito AFC defense, Serafino Berdaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nereo Eduino. The Caballito AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nereo Eduino should have stopped the shot. Nereo Eduino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafino Berdaitz in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Caballito AFC's Constantino Selatse got a free kick in the 35th minute. Federico Arotza hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Liberto to make the kick off. Alonzo Bernal's late challenge caught a Caballito AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Bernal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Patricios AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Bernal to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Luis Jorrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Desiderio Guter charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
