Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Abel Foro made the kick off which started today's match. Basilio Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Xabat in the 4th minute of the match. When Nestor Iraitz fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astica's protests and gave Nestor Iraitz a yellow card for diving instead. Nestor Iraitz hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Basilio Intxixu was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Luisito Ruisko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luisito Ruisko really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Policarpio in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Dalmai saved Carcano from getting behind. The supporters of Carcano booed when Astica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Foro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Ruisko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Carcano's Guaberto Eudoxio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basilio Intxixu. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carcano's zone, Luciano Policarpio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Dalmai came out of the goal and Luciano Policarpio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Frisco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carcano the free kick. After having played for 31 minutes, Abel Foro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Foro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Luciano Policarpio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Foro in the 34th minute of play forced Carcano's goalkeeper Segundo Dalmai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Abel Foro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Foro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Ruisko to make the kick off. When Luisito Ruisko came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Carcano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Ruisko couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Astica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Iraitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Abel Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Dalmai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Dalmai having to interfere. Carcano's Segundo Dalmai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Carcano from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Foro in the 71st minute of play forced Carcano's goalkeeper Segundo Dalmai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Xabat's late challenge caught a Astica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonides Xabat helped the player get up and apologised. Leonides Xabat kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Abel Foro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carcano's Segundo Dalmai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Foro in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, Carcano's Segundo Dalmai got control of the ball when Luciano Policarpio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astica were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after Carcano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicanor Martxelin took the corner. Astica's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Carcano had won, even though Astica had held more of the ball.
