Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tuyutí's Jonathan Mercurio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bañitos's Cipriano Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 5th minute Cipriano Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Teyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Mercurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Jonathan Mercurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Teyo having to interfere. After 12 minutes, Jonathan Mercurio made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bañitos's Angelo Teyo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Teyo was a little too slow when Jonathan Mercurio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. 19 minutes into the match, Bañitos's goalkeeper Angelo Teyo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Higinio Lain. Victorino Furtado came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Bañitos's Cipriano Abel. But to his dismay, Cipriano Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Higinio Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes of play, Bañitos's Celso Maria made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victorino Furtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Higinio Lain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuyutí's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Lain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Teyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
A collision led to Bañitos getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Emanuel Tano hit a great ball. In the 55th minute Higinio Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Teyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jonathan Mercurio came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Tuyutí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Mercurio couldn't finish the play. Angelo Teyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Mercurio in the 62nd minute of play. Angelo Teyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Lain in the 64th minute of the match. Higinio Lain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Teyo having to interfere. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tuyutí's goalkeeper Victorino Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cipriano Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Furtado having to interfere. Victorino Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Maria in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Bañitos's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Lain came free, but Angelo Teyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Celso Maria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bañitos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Maria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
