The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Orlanda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reynaldo Orlanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Mercurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The Unión AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Orlanda should have stopped the shot. If Higinio Lain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Unión AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Mercurio came free, but Reynaldo Orlanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
