Enzo Salamon charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Salamon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enzo Salamon kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ciriaco Jorrin struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Prudencio Guipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vanguardia FC. Victorino Igon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Prudencio Guipuzkoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Rodrigo Raymon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arenaza's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Raymon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Tino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Raymon might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Tino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Raymon ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Raymon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Tino having to interfere. Ciriaco Jorrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Guipuzkoa having to interfere. When Mariano Cerilo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Arenaza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Cerilo couldn't finish the play. Octavio Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Cerilo in the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Victorino Igon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanguardia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Igon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Victorino Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute of the match, Ciriaco Jorrin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Prudencio Guipuzkoa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Igon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victorino Igon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prudencio Guipuzkoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Igon, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Octavio Tino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Raymon's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 69th minute, Mariano Cerilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Vanguardia FC's goalkeeper Octavio Tino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Cerilo. Mariano Cerilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Raymon in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Tino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Prudencio Guipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Jorrin in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Jorrin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Arenaza's Prudencio Guipuzkoa. Prudencio Guipuzkoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 98 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Raymon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavio Tino. Vanguardia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Raymon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
