Constantino Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Franck booed when Cipoletti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Vincente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantino Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Videl in the 14th minute of play. Ildefonso Mantzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santo Calvino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Mantzio ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Cipoletti's Paulo Llorian got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience cheered when Angel Ilazki's long shot passed Constantino Erasto's right side. It was 0-1, 21 minutes into the match. Santiago Laurgain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Erasto having to interfere. Leon Bernabel charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Bernabel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cipoletti getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Leon Bernabel hit a great ball. Basilio Videl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Ciriaco Gaitano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carlos Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franck's Santo Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Mantzio in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Ildefonso Mantzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Mantzio made a kick off. If Basilio Videl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Moises Madaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Ilazki, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hector Aurken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constantino Erasto made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Hector Aurken sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Videl in the 61st minute of play forced Cipoletti's goalkeeper Constantino Erasto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Franck's goalkeeper Santo Calvino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Basilio Videl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Armando Ixidor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Franck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Cipoletti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Franck were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
