After having played for 3 minutes, Jonatan Salvidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saldán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Salvidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horacio Mancio hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Domingos Darien struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Benedicto Jax didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saldán. Domingos Darien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Jax read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Gavino Castel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Alfredo Galtero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Castel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Melchor Jatsu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Victor Raebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gavino Castel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Saldán got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Nesor. Jonatan Salvidor struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Benedicto Jax didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saldán. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingos Darien in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Jax prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Saldán fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Saldán's Jonatan Salvidor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Domingos Darien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Salvidor in the 33rd minute of play forced Esther AFC's goalkeeper Benedicto Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Darien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Galtero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Castel having to make a save. Domingos Darien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Jax having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Cresencio in the 44th minute of play forced Esther AFC's goalkeeper Benedicto Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingos Darien made a kick off. Benedicto Jax made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Jonatan Salvidor sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Galtero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Castel having to interfere. Gavino Castel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saldán's goalkeeper Gavino Castel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romulo Cresencio's late challenge caught a Esther AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romulo Cresencio helped the player get up and apologised. Romulo Cresencio kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saldán! Gavino Castel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Gartzen in the 70th minute of play. If Tobias Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Galtero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gavino Castel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Conrado Gervaso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esther AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saldán the free kick. Benedicto Jax made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jonatan Salvidor sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute Domingos Darien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Dacio's late challenge caught a Saldán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Dacio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute Domingos Darien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Saldán eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
