Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albano Pitin charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albano Pitin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Uspallata FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Albano Pitin hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Urbano Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uspallata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Hotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Castel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gavino Castel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Isidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Saldán's zone, Urbano Hotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Castel came out of the goal and Urbano Hotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Urbano Hotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Castel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Castel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Isidor in the 40th minute of the match. Jonatan Salvidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Atilano Isidor made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Castel. Saldán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingos Darien was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Iraido hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Urbano Hotz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Gavino Castel made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Galindo during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fidel Galindo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Hotz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Isidor in the 65th minute of play forced Saldán's goalkeeper Gavino Castel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Saldán's Domingos Darien in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Albano Pitin got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Albano Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ricardo Asur was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Jonatan Salvidor made a precise shot to the right of Desiderio Guillem. Uspallata FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Melchor Jatsu's late challenge caught a Uspallata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Jatsu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Uspallata FC booed when Saldán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Jatsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uspallata FC's Fidel Hustaz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Saldán. After having played for 91 minutes, Urbano Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uspallata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Hotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Urbano Hotz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Castel. Saldán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urbano Hotz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Daniel Iraido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Castel having to interfere. Urbano Hotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Gavino Castel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romulo Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 101st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Uspallata FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Uspallata FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
