Pascual Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Orixe in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Cascada's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Elodio came free, but Pascual Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Julio Elodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Platon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Irrintzi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Astor Sotero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Nafarroa in the 24th minute of play forced Alumbrera's goalkeeper Paulino Oriche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alumbrera getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Julio Elodio hit a great ball. Nemesio Panpili blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulino Oriche having to make a save. Julio Elodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Nemesio Panpili ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulino Oriche was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pascual Platon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julio Elodio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. Paulino Oriche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Bidun, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio Elodio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cascada's Jeremias Bidun got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jeremias Bidun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florencio Txomin charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Txomin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Florencio Txomin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jeremias Bidun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascada's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Bidun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Oriche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Nemesio Panpili's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulino Oriche was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Paulino Oriche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Bidun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Oriche having to interfere. Jeremias Bidun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Paulino Oriche made a huge save. After having played for 89 minutes, Celedonio Orixe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alumbrera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Orixe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Cascada's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Elodio came free, but Pascual Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Tulio charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Tulio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cascada's Pascual Platon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Txomin in the 96th minute of play.
