After 5 minutes, Ildefonso Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilahué FC and the Pierini players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pilahué FC's Ildefonso Marquez got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Anacleto Su came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Pierini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Su couldn't finish the play. When Leopoldo Selatse fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilahué FC's protests and gave Leopoldo Selatse a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pilahué FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Leopoldo Selatse hit a great ball. Pastor Phelipe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adriana Liher. Pilahué FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eriberto Iago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leo Abeijon came out and tried to block the shot, but Eriberto Iago slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Carolo Ruisko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriana Liher having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Carolo Ruisko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Pastor Phelipe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pilahué FC's Adriana Liher didn't even have to move. Eriberto Iago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Abeijon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pilahué FC's Alejandro Baristo got a free kick in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Anacleto Su cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adriana Liher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Timoteo Steven came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pilahué FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Steven couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carolo Ruisko was the one to do the kick off. Timoteo Steven's late challenge caught a Pierini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timoteo Steven helped the player get up and apologised. Leo Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Steven in the 61st minute of the match. Timoteo Steven scored 2-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Abeijon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Artemio Casomiro charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artemio Casomiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Artemio Casomiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pilahué FC's zone, Anacleto Su stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriana Liher came out of the goal and Anacleto Su tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leandro Mincho fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilahué FC's protests and gave Leandro Mincho a yellow card for diving instead. Pierini's Carolo Ruisko got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pilahué FC's Leandro Mincho got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 77 minutes of play Pilahué FC's Leopoldo Selatse was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Pierini booed when Pilahué FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Selatse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Su received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Adriana Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anacleto Su sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carolo Ruisko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes Pilahué FC got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Steven. When Pierini's Carolo Ruisko, in the 85th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pierini. Anacleto Su blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriana Liher having to make a save. In the 96th match minute, Pilahué FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Iago to maneuver through the defense. After 97 played minutes, Pierini's Pastor Phelipe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adriana Liher came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pierini reached it. The Pilahué FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
