The tension between the Dolores FC and the Alagón FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Alagón FC's zone, Alfredo Herena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Ruisko came out of the goal and Alfredo Herena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Todor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gavino Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Ruisko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Todor in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geronimo Muc to make the kick off. Dolores FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alagón FC the free kick. In the 85th minute, Vladimiro Haitz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dolores FC's Mariano Patrido didn't even have to move. If Melchor Erlantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Dolores FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Melchor Erlantz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alagón FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
