The attack was good, but when Bartolo Luix in the 22nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Denis Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Nerio in the 24th minute of the match. Antonio Clodio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Baldomiro Vito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Clodio got free with Baldomiro Vito in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Carolo Gabrio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Baldomiro Vito, passed just outside the right post. If Carolo Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Luix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Guido Librado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barreal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosme the free kick. During the 56th minute of the match Guido Librado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Guido Librado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 66 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goalkeeper Denis Faro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Nerio. Barreal FC's Denis Faro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Barreal FC from getting a goal against them. Denis Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Luix in the 72nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Nerio couldn't finish the play. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
