In the 3rd minute, Adan Ederono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomero Solustiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Benedicto Artizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Artizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario James, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Pila AFC's Benedicto Artizar got control of the ball when Baldomero Solustiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Baldomero Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pila AFC's zone, Baldomero Solustiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Artizar came out of the goal and Baldomero Solustiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Solustiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benedicto Artizar could save by the left post. In the 34th minute Dario James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Artizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Artizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario James in the 37th minute of play. Pila AFC's Benedicto Artizar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Pila AFC from getting a goal against them. Baldomero Su fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Rozarius having to interfere. Remedios AFC's Bruno Rozarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Merexildo in the 43rd minute of play. After 47 minutes, Remigio Manny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pila AFC and the Remedios AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pila AFC's Remigio Manny got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario James stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benedicto Artizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario James, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pila AFC's Adan Ederono got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Baldomero Solustiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Remedios AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomero Solustiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benedicto Artizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Solustiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Solustiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedicto Artizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baldomero Solustiano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute, Dario James made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Artizar. Pila AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Bruno Rozarius didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. When Dario James came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Remedios AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario James couldn't finish the play. Benedicto Artizar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario James in the 75th minute of the match. Baldomero Su could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Bruno Rozarius made a huge save. Roque Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Pila AFC's Filiberto Merexildo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedicto Artizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Solustiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Dario James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Artizar having to interfere. In the 93rd minute of the match, Baldomero Su got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bruno Rozarius was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dario James took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Artizar. Benedicto Artizar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Pila AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
