The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julian Panpili could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Matias Chorche made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urbano Oihenarte got free with Matias Chorche in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Benito Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Anillaco FC booed when Unzué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 played minutes Anillaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Frans. After 41 minutes Anillaco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Everardo Markel who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 46 minutes, Benito Rojelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unzué's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Rojelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Guillem in the 50th minute of play forced Anillaco FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Unzué were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute of the match Everardo Markel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Librado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Anillaco FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Saul Eneko hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Anillaco FC's Julian Panpili sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Chorche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Oihenarte in the 66th minute of play forced Unzué's goalkeeper Matias Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Unzué got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Cayo. Julian Panpili struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Matias Chorche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anillaco FC. If Benito Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute Julian Panpili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Unzué's Ildefonso Cayo got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Urbano Oihenarte came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Anillaco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Oihenarte couldn't finish the play. Unzué's Matias Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Oihenarte in the 82nd minute of play. Celestino Guillem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Anillaco FC booed when Unzué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Markel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Claudio Artizar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unzué's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anillaco FC the free kick. 96 minutes into the match, Unzué's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Panpili came free, but Matias Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unzué's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
