The referee ignored Tucumancito's protests and gave Rolando Fonso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Tucumancito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Fonso to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 22 played minutes Divisadero got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Ugutz. Hugo Cuartio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Edgard Pudes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roberto Erdiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Marques having to interfere. If Silvano Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Pudes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Laurendi in the 34th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Cuartio got free with Edgard Pudes in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hugo Cuartio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edgard Fernendo fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tucumancito's protests and gave Edgard Fernendo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Edgard Fernendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Feliberto Laurendi made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Cuartio in the 54th minute of play forced Divisadero's goalkeeper Edgard Pudes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Pudes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Cuartio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Tucumancito's Victoriano Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Tucumancito from getting a goal against them. After 64 played minutes Tucumancito got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Laurendi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Nerio in the 71st minute of play forced Tucumancito's goalkeeper Victoriano Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tucumancito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Celedonio Ugutz scored to the left of an out of position Victoriano Marques, making the score, 1-2.
