Sebastian Harri might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Oxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Harri ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Montxo in the 14th minute of play forced Valenzuela's goalkeeper Justino Misael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Misael having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Joel Montxo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Justino Misael. Joel Montxo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jorge Udalaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Justino Misael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Chimpay's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Naelio came free, but Marcelino Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chimpay's goalkeeper Marcelino Oxel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chimpay's Marcelino Oxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Naelio in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Valenzuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Gaxan to maneuver through the defense. Joel Montxo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Justino Misael made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Jorge Udalaitz sent off a good shot on target. Chimpay's Marcelino Oxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Harri in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ovidio Naelio to strike the kick off in the second half. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 53rd minute, but Marcelino Oxel got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Chimpay hanging dry this time. When Valenzuela's Ovidio Naelio in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chimpay's goalie prevented a goal. Marcelino Oxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Jorge Udalaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimpay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Udalaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justino Misael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Montxo in the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Jorge Udalaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimpay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Udalaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Misael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelino Oxel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Naelio in the 80th minute of the match. Joel Montxo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Ubaldo Colon fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valenzuela's protests and gave Ubaldo Colon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Valenzuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Colon to maneuver through the defense.
