Salvador Laurentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Virgilio Firmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astra's Virgilio Firmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Astra from getting a goal against them. Haroldo Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Chus having to interfere. Salvador Laurentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Astra booed when Rosario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Loiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astra's Virgilio Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Salbatore in the 31st minute of play. Carmelo Libertad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Firmo having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Carmelo Libertad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgilio Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Salbatore in the 37th minute of the match.
The wind increased when Haroldo Calvet made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Prospero Salbatore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Salbatore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Firmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Astra's Haroldo Calvet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Carmelo Libertad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Astra defense, Prospero Salbatore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Firmo. The Astra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Firmo should have stopped the shot. Samuel Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Carmelo Libertad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Firmo. Astra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Libertad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Prospero Salbatore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcial Asur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosario's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
