When Candido Erauso came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cerrito AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Erauso couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Ildefonso Baraquiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Elodio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Gelmiro came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Cerrito AFC's Evaristo Firme. But to his dismay, Evaristo Firme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Cerrito AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Luis Marin charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Marin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Cerrito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Marin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Erauso in the 55th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Celedonio Tuste managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gastres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Tuste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Elodio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celedonio Tuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Celedonio Tuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Elodio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Camilo Lon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Baraquiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Elodio was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Gastres FC's Ildefonso Baraquiel got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th match minute, Cerrito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Lon to maneuver through the defense. Erasmo Elodio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Baraquiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Gastres FC's Ildefonso Baraquiel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Elodio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Cerrito AFC's Erasmo Elodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Tuste in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Celedonio Tuste managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gastres FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Tuste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerardo Gelmiro made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Evaristo Firme sent off a good shot on target. Gastres FC's Gerardo Gelmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Erauso in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Celedonio Tuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Celedonio Tuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Elodio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Firme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerardo Gelmiro having to make a save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
