The tension between the Germania and the Balcosna players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Remigio Martxelin fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balcosna's protests and gave Remigio Martxelin a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Balcosna got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Martxelin. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Balcosna booed when Germania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
