Jeremias Karmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Garoa having to interfere. Miguel Foro charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Antofalla AFC booed when Cañada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Cai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antofalla AFC's Honorio Tab took a good shot, in the 42nd minute, which hit the crossbar above Ceferino Garoa's head, and flew over the goal. Cañada's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Antofalla AFC. Blas Jokin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Jerrald read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Fernando Rami recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Antofalla AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cañada throughout the match.
