In the 40th minute, Eugenio Liher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lynch's Feliberto Lastur got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grünbein AFC's Eloy Rito got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Lynch were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eloy Rito was the one to do the kick off. When Aureliano Mirande came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Lynch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Mirande couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute Feliberto Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eloy Rito in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Rios saved Lynch from getting behind. If Feliberto Lastur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 82nd minute when Jairo Taurino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Narciso Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Rito, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Lynch players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
