Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zeledon Tajo started the match with the kick off. Federal AFC's Donato Reno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Tajo in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Federal AFC booed when Buchanan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Ascencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buchanan's Luciano Peruanton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Buchanan from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buchanan's goalkeeper Luciano Peruanton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zeledon Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Donato Reno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Zeledon Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buchanan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Tajo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Federal AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hermengildo Barea hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Tajo in the 19th minute of play forced Federal AFC's goalkeeper Donato Reno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Federal AFC's Luciano Peruanton threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ovidio Abella, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 24th minute, Severino Cebrian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Federal AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Buchanan's Candido Manilan landed with the leg in an unnatural angle after a tough challenge. The leg was fractured. Aaron Tabby charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Tabby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aaron Tabby hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ovidio Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Luciano Peruanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Abella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Peruanton having to interfere. Severino Cebrian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Zeledon Tajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Reno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Abella made a kick off. Zeledon Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Donato Reno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Mendebal's late challenge caught a Federal AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Mendebal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Buchanan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Mendebal to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Federal AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Zeledon Tajo 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After 65 played minutes Buchanan got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Jakes. In the 67th match minute, Federal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Barea to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Peruanton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ovidio Abella went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Federal AFC booed when Buchanan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Abella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Cebrian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Buchanan's Paulino Mendebal got a free kick in the 86th minute. Luciano Peruanton came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Federal AFC's Ovidio Abella. But to his dismay, Ovidio Abella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Zeledon Tajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Donato Reno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Federal AFC's zone, Zeledon Tajo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Reno came out of the goal and Zeledon Tajo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the game, Zeledon Tajo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donato Reno. Zeledon Tajo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Federal AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Buchanan for a fine match.
