Americo Marz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Kelemen in the 3rd minute of play. After 9 minutes, Mauro Kelemen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lozano and the Tupungato AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Lozano got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Kelemen. Javier Roldan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Elizardo's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 12 played minutes Lozano got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Maxin. If Mauro Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Tupungato AFC's Ramon Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Roldan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 26 played minutes, Tupungato AFC's Damaso Reyes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Javier Roldan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tupungato AFC reached it. Ramon Beltrans short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Javier Roldan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute Freddy Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Roldan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Lozano got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Maxin. If Norberto Ekaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddy Elizardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Elizardo in the 53rd minute of play forced Lozano's goalkeeper Javier Roldan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Elizardo in the 54th minute of play. When Mauro Kelemen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. The supporters of Tupungato AFC booed when Lozano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Kelemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafino Hernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Americo Marz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Elizardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience was convinced that Freddy Elizardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Roldan was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Freddy Elizardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Javier Roldan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddy Elizardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Tupungato AFC's Ramon Beltran got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freddy Elizardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Roldan having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Lozano got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Hernandez. Javier Roldan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javier Roldan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Elizardo in the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramon Beltran in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Roldan prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
