The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Maipú AFC's Tomás Umbruso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Ted made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Saverio Henry came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Maipú AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saverio Henry couldn't finish the play. Domingos Ticho kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Tomás Umbruso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saverio Henry might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severo Ted. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saverio Henry ran back to his position shaking his head. If Saverio Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Telén's Evelio Urtsua got a free kick in the 18th minute. Simon Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ladislao Dimas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramon Velasco. Maipú AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ladislao Dimas's late challenge caught a Maipú AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Dimas helped the player get up and apologised. Ladislao Dimas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Severo Ted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Umbruso in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute Venancio Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Ted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Umbruso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramon Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Dino went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Umbruso to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Venancio Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Umbruso struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Severo Ted didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maipú AFC. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Tomás Umbruso took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Severo Ted to make any attempt to save it. Ramon Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Cordero in the 63rd minute of the match. Telén's Venancio Dino got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejandro Enaut during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Maipú AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alejandro Enaut hit a great ball. Anselmo Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Velasco having to interfere. Maipú AFC's Ramon Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Ellande in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Telén got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Oton. Tomás Umbruso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Severo Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Telén's Anselmo Cordero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Velasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anselmo Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Velasco having to interfere. Alejandro Enaut kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Venancio Dino struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ramon Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Telén. If Venancio Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
