In the 14th minute, Fausto Gonsalve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Bertran in the 16th minute of play forced Monsalvo AFC's goalkeeper Emilio Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Monsalvo AFC's Emilio Montrell got control of the ball when Fausto Gonsalve tried to sneak it across the goal line. Israel Inautzi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inocencio Bertran to make the kick off. A collision led to Escriña getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Israel Inautzi hit a great ball. Emilio Montrell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Gonsalve's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Escriña booed when Monsalvo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Piorno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Montrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Bertran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute of the match Escriña got a corner. Inocencio Bertran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Montrell having to interfere. If Israel Inautzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Escriña's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
